| 1932-10-28 | Up in Joe Lake, Algonquin Park, Billy the deer looks forward to train time, becaise that means people at the station with candy bars or peanuts, which are good., Billy first wandered down to the station two years ago, and now he returns every time he hears a train whistle, much to the delight of the kiddies. This year, Billy, who is now eight years old, returned from the woods with two companions, Maude and Teddy, who apparently have been reading safety first literature, for while Billy wanders right on to the railway tracks, Maude and Teddy remain at the edge of the woods wondering what all the fuss is about. | Leader p185 | |

During July 2001, someone wrote me with a synoptic history of this station. Unfortunately, I was travelling in Africa at the time, and Hotmail deleted the message when my mailbox overflowed. If you are that person, I regret that I don't remember your name, and I would appreciate a resend of the data.
